Should I buy a juicer?

I think I'd enjoy juicing on my own and it would cut out preservatives and additives in the other juices I buy at the store. I'm considering the Jack Lalanne model for $100. We have great Farmers Markets around here and I'm always buying produce. I know I'd use it daily and get my moneys worth- not to mention the health benefits. Is this a good investment?

I highly recommend a juicer, but not the jack lalanne one-its too hard to clean, despite the ad. I have juiced for 20+ years, and have gone through a lot of juicers. I recommend the Waring Juicer, about 30 dollars at walmart or kmart (I got my last one, new in the box, from a thrift store for 3 dollars-yeah) I juice three times a day, and love it. I juice everything. I love making fresh exoctic sprouts, like fenungreek, pea sprouts, clover, radish, etc and juicing them with fresh mint or herbs, ginger etc. On the days that I dont juice, I can feel a huge diff in my energy levels. edit: I make veggie stock with the leftover pulp-use it to flavor rice, lentils, etc. and make raw food bars out of it
