has anyone heard that using a power juicer may not be as beneficial to your health as you might think?

I just purchased a Jack Lalanne Power Juicer and have recently been told that the burst of energy that I get when I drink a glass of it is nothing more than a highly concentrated sugar rush from the naturally occuring sugars in the fruits and vegitables that are quickly absorbed into my body rather than slowly absorbed when eaten as normal. Is this healthy? Ive also heard that the properties of fiber found in the foods are distroyed during the process as well. Can anyone tell me if the benefits of using the power juicer are outweighed by these issues? Tank you!!!!
